actually, pwede na rin pala na ichange yung sa router mismo.

192.168.1.1 > username 1234, password 1234 (if default) > advanced setup > LAN
just change the primary & secondary DNS under the DHCP settings.

Hi Nina & Oliver,

u may try changing your DNS to google’s public dns – PRIMARY: 8.8.8.8 SECONDARY:8.8.4.4

Connection (either Wireless or LAN) Properties, Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

FYI:
The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
The Google Public DNS IPv6 addresses are as follows:
2001:4860:4860::8888
2001:4860:4860::8844

same problem as @nina above. i already did a reset on the router but still could not browse to any website. seems like a DNS problem to me. one thing i noticed is that the adsl type is set to g.lite even if i set it to adsl2+ or multimode. weird thing is our torrent client (utorrent) is able to download and seed even if web pages cannot be visited. anyone encountered this and has a fix?

hi, the settings you posted above worked (for more than a year already) on my telefonica router and pldt dsl until a few days ago when i can’t connect to the internet. problem is, everytime na magcoconnect it says error 105: net::err_name_not resolved; gumagana naman lahat sa router, may ilaw lahat pero di pa rin maka connect.
na try ko na ireconfigure, reset yung modem , pinalitan ko na yung opencmd sa multi…pero wala pa rin

ano pa kaya pwede ko gawin?

Hi, I have a problem with the Wi-Fi. I already did all of your instructions, and it is already working as a modem. But the problem is my iPod Touch 4G is connected to it but it isn’t transmitting internet connection. Another is that the Wi-Fi name and password is really hard to change, what can you say about this? I really need your help please PM As Soon As Possible

can you please tell me which ADSL WIFI is better? The ZyXEL P-660HW-61 or the CERBERUS ROUTER ADSL WIFI 802.11G which is also available in CD-R king? I am planning on setting a wifi home connection.

i have with a problem with this modem router sir, it doesn’t seem to accomodate 3 connections. it works fine when there is only one laptop connected via wireless and one desktop connected via cable. now that there is another one laptop at home, when the two laptops connect to the internet the desktop lost it’s internet connection. anyone has a solution for this? do i have to reconfigure the modem?

just wanted to say thanks for this absolutely amazing guide!

recently,my modem got fried due to lightning(even our tv got toasted.hehehe)..i dont wanna shell out P1.2k for a replacement from PLDT(out of warranty)..and then i came upon this blog…

bought adsl kit..followed instructions(multimode got it working for me)…and presto…modem/router for P880!
